Directions of Use for Basket Mold
1. Mount elastic band with screw (s). Pull pin
(a) to rotate arm away from transport position to hole indicating desired
diameter (b). Lift safety lever (c), lift clamp lever (d) and remove U-clamp
(e).
2. Use a tape measure to slide the
white pointer up to a distance equal to the difference between the radius and
the desired rise of the elliptical arch.
Hold handle (a) with left hand, press
trigger (b) with right and slide assembly until white pointer (d) points to
desired diameter on vertical scale.
4. Bring flexible band towards clamp (a),
replace U-clamp (b). Using table (c) find the number at intersection of
diameter and rise. Align this number on inner scale of band to the top of the
clamp (d) and lower clamp lever (e).
Disassembling the Mold!
Lay masonry on form alternating between left
and right sides until arch is completed. To remove form once mortar has set,
hold handle (e) and either shorten centre pole by removing clip (f) or lower
form by pressing trigger (b) of Figure
2. Move form away from arch and disassemble in reverse order to instructions.
When unclamping elastic band, lift clamp lever (d) in a controlled and slow
manner to prevent pinching hand against elastic band.
